Komplete - Installation Failed error

In this guide, we will discuss a known issue with the Komplete installation using physical disks. We have found that some students are encountering issues when attempting to install using the first disk in the set. When attempting to install, students encounter an “The Installation Failed” message. (See image below).

 

Step 1. In order to resolve this issue, first insert Komplete Installation Disk A into your DVD Drive.

Step 2. Then, use the spotlight search (Command + Shift) to search for Disk Utility and select Disk Utility from the list that appears.

Step 3. Once Disk Utility loads, select Komplete Installation Disk A that appears on the left hand side.

Step 4. On the Top Menu Bar, select File > New > Disk Image from “Komplete Installation Disk A”.

Step 5. Then select a name and location for your DMG file and click Save button int he bottom right of this window.

Please note that this process can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to complete. So please be patient.

Step 6. Once the DMG file has been saved, launch the DMG file and select the Komplete Installer.

Step 7. Komplete should install normally using this method. When prompted by the installer, you will be able to use the the remaining disks simply by inserting them into the DVD Drive.
