MacBook Pro - 3-Year Apple Care Warranty Information


Every MacBook Pro from Full Sail University comes with a 3-Year AppleCare Protection Plan. Please read this article for common questions and answers.

What does it cover?
The plan covers: repair costs for manufacturer defects, technical support from Apple, and for students who received their Mac from Full Sail on or after July 2017, limited coverage for accidental damage (see details below). Theft is not covered.

Manufacturer Defects:

The plan covers repair costs for manufacturer defects (for example, a hard drive crash).

Limited Accidental Damage (for some students):

  • Coverage varies.  Please reach out to AppleCare to confirm what your warranty covers. 


Do I need to register? 
No. Your AppleCare Warranty is already registered to your MacBook and is directly linked to its serial number. You can call AppleCare (800.800.2775) with any questions about your plan, but you can also check the current state of your Mac's coverage plan by going to and entering your Serial Number, which can be located in any of the following ways:

In the "About This Mac" Window

Choose the Apple () menu > About This Mac. The window that appears lists your computer's model name and serial number. You can then use your serial number to check your service and support options or to find your tech specs.

On the Bottom of Your MacBook Pro

Close your MacBook Pro and turn it over. The serial number is on the underside of the computer, near the regulatory markings.

On the Original Product Packaging

 If you still have the original packaging for your MacBook Pro, you can find the serial number on a barcode label on the box.
